Modern Methods in Insurance Pricing and Industrial Statistics

The Conference on Modern Methods in Insurance Pricing and Industrial Statistics was held from 3rd to 5th of September, 2017 in Hamedan, Iran. With 117 oral and poster presentations, eight keynote talks from distinguished researchers, as well as three short-courses, the conference was a great success. ISI-WSC 2017

The 61st ISI World Statistics Congress (WSC) was held in Marrakech, Morocco from July 16-21, 2017. Many thanks to the organizers, chairs, speakers, discussants, and participants of all ISBIS (co)sponsored sessions, as well as to ISBIS members who participated in all events at the ISI-WSC. ISBIS and the ASA Section on Statistical Learning and Data Mining (SLDM) jointly sponsored a conference on Data Mining in Business and Industry. The conference took place in Durham, North Carolina, USA during June 9-11, 2014, and will be hosted by the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University.   The conference website is at http://www.stat.duke.edu/~banks/dcc/ and it includes instructions on how to propose an invited session or a poster. Highlights of the conference include a reception at SAS and keynote addresses by COPSS Award winners David Dunson (Duke University) and Xihong Lin (Harvard University), and by ARF Grand Innovation Award winner Claudia Perlich (Dstillery, formerly Media6Degrees).
